JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party leaders on Thursday commemorated the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, and paid tribute to the valour and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces.
The programme was led by J&K BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma and attended by senior party leaders and workers.
Among those present were BJP vice-president Rajiv Charak, former MLA Ashwani Sharma and Mahila Morcha president Neha Mahajan.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma described Operation Sindoor as a symbol of the bravery, discipline and patriotism of the Indian Armed Forces. He said the operation reflected India’s resolve to safeguard its borders and national interests against all challenges.
He said the country remains indebted to soldiers who risk their lives to ensure the safety and security of citizens and added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the morale and capabilities of the Armed Forces have been significantly strengthened.
Sat Sharma further said the country has adopted a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism and threats to national security and urged citizens to draw inspiration from the courage and dedication of the armed forces.
Rajiv Charak said the sacrifices of the Armed Forces can never be forgotten and described Operation Sindoor as a reflection of the professionalism and determination of India’s security forces under challenging circumstances.
Ashwani Sharma said the anniversary serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by soldiers in the line of duty and added that their courage inspires future generations and strengthens nationalism among youth.
Neha Mahajan said the Armed Forces symbolise courage, dedication and selfless service to the nation and added that women across the country take pride in the valour of the soldiers and stand firmly in support of national unity and integrity.
