Sharma assured the delegation of full government support, particularly in facilitating the installation of rooftop solar systems in far-flung and underserved areas.

Emphasizing the strategic importance of solar energy, the Minister said that expanding clean energy infrastructure is central to the government’s vision of building a sustainable, energy-efficient and environmentally responsible Jammu and Kashmir. He noted that increased adoption of solar power would not only help meet rising energy demands but also reduce dependence on conventional energy sources.

Demonstrating a proactive approach, Sharma directed officials to resolve all pending issues raised by the Association in a time-bound manner. He stressed that delays in approvals, clearances or implementation must be addressed urgently to ensure seamless execution of solar projects across the Union Territory.

The Minister also called for improved coordination among government departments, implementing agencies and private stakeholders to eliminate bottlenecks and fast-track solar initiatives. He assured that all necessary policy and administrative support would be extended to strengthen the renewable energy ecosystem.

Reiterating his commitment to inclusive development, Sharma highlighted that special focus is being placed on extending the benefits of solar energy to remote and underserved regions, ensuring equitable access to clean and sustainable power solutions.

The delegation, meanwhile, appreciated the Minister’s decisive leadership and proactive intervention, expressing confidence that his continued support would significantly boost the growth of the solar sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
