Ramban: Police on Tuesday demolished an eatery set up along the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway at Chanderkoot in Ramban district, alleging its involvement in the sale of narcotics.
‘Makhan Dhaba’ is owned by Makhan Singh, a resident of Punjab, who has been living in Chanderkoot for nearly 40 years, officials said.
According to the police, the structure was being used to supply contraband substances to locals as well as highway drivers.
The police warned that establishments with even government-issued licences would not remain untouched if found to have links with illegal activities.
