Mohammad Ashraf Hakak appointed Director Estates Kashmir

Srinagar: In a fresh administrative reshuffle, senior JKAS officer Mohammad Ashraf Hakak has been appointed as Director, Estates, Kashmir.

He was previously serving as Administrator of Associated Hospitals at Government Medical College Srinagar.

According to official orders issued by the General Administration Department, Mr. Hakak has been transferred to take charge of the new role.

Widely regarded as a seasoned and dynamic administrator, Hakak has built a strong reputation through his public service career. During his tenure at Associated Hospitals, GMC Srinagar, he played a key role in strengthening hospital administration, streamlining internal systems, and improving the overall delivery of healthcare services. His efforts were instrumental in enhancing patient care and institutional efficiency.

Known for his integrity, humility, and people-centric approach, Hakak has earned respect among colleagues, healthcare professionals, and the public. His leadership style blends professionalism with compassion, fostering a culture of discipline, trust, and accountability.

His contributions to the healthcare sector were also recognized nationally when he received the Pride of India Award for excellence in healthcare administration and hospital management.

With experience across several key administrative roles in Jammu and Kashmir—including in estates, youth services, and other departments—Hakak brings considerable expertise to his new assignment.

Described by peers as soft-spoken, approachable, and principled, he is widely seen as a model of effective and humane governance.
