Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) on Saturday successfully conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) for B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Paramedical and B.Sc. Technology Courses-2026 for the academic session 2026–27 across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The examination was held at 48 centres across J&K, including 37 in the Kashmir division and 11 in the Jammu division. Out of 26,237 applicants, as many as 25,090 candidates appeared for the test, registering an overall attendance of 95.6 percent.
To ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the examination, adequate arrangements were put in place in coordination with the administrations of participating institutions and law enforcement agencies. The exercise was carried out under the guidance of BOPEE Chairperson Minu Mahajan.
The Chairperson, along with BOPEE members, the Secretary, Controller of Examinations and other officials, actively monitored the conduct of the entrance test at both Srinagar and Jammu centres.
BOPEE officials expressed gratitude to the divisional and district administrations, as well as the Director General of Police, for ensuring security arrangements, including safe transportation of sensitive examination material and frisking at examination centres.
They also acknowledged the support of staff deputed by the General Administration Department, members of the monitoring squad, and principals and staff of the respective institutions and colleges for their role in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the examination.
