KPDCL announces power shutdown schedule in parts of Srinagar, Ganderbal

New power curtailment schedule announced amid heat wave in Jammu

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas of Srinagar and Ganderbal districts due to maintenance works on transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, shutdown of the 33 kV Alastang–Nagbal and 33 kV Alastang–Zakura lines will affect power supply to Shuhama, Baqura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatahpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Saloora, Shairpathri, Pandach, Pathan Colony, Gulab Bagh, Mir Mohalla, Umarhair, Nowbugh, Ahmad Nagar, 90 Ft Road, Khalmulla and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on April 25, 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of the 33 kV Alastang–Power House line will impact Beehama, Arampora, Arch, Nunner, Manigam, Duderhama, Mashaibagh, Wayil and Gutlibagh from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on April 26, 2026.

Further, shutdown of the 33 kV Kangan–Kangan and 33 kV Kangan–Surfraw lines will affect Mammer, Wangath, Kangan, Akhal, Babanagri, Canal Gund, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw and Ganiwan from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on April 27, 2026.

In addition, shutdown of the 33 kV Kangan–Wussan line and Badampora–Tulmulla Tap line will impact Wussan, Preng, Manigam, Haripora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Larsun and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on April 28, 2026.

Meanwhile, shutdown of the 132/33 kV GIS Tengpora will affect Danderkha, Batamaloo, PCR Batamaloo, Baranpather, HSHS and adjoining areas from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on April 26, 2026.

Consumers have been advised to take note of the schedule and make necessary arrangements.
