The cyclothon, held with considerable enthusiasm, was flagged off from Clock Tower Duderhama, Ganderbal. Students from 15 schools across Ganderbal took part in the event, demonstrating a strong commitment to physical fitness and social responsibility.

The cyclothon culminated at Government College of Physical Education Gadoora, where Haris Hameed of Qamria Model Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal secured the first position. Mohammad Faizan of Sultania English Medium School, Saloora Ganderbal, and Hanzil Imtiyaz of Islamia Hanifia Model School, Haran Ganderbal bagged the second and third positions, respectively.

Officials of the district administration present on the occasion appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and commended the efforts of the organising team.

Highlighting the broader objective of such initiatives, they noted that events like these play a vital role in channelising the energy of youth towards constructive pursuits, encouraging them to adopt a healthy lifestyle and stay away from substance abuse.

A Nasha Mukt pledge was also administered on the occasion, reaffirming participants’ commitment to building a drug-free society.

The event concluded with a strong message that fitness, discipline, and a drug-free way of life are a shared responsibility, particularly for the youth who represent the future of society.
