Pahalgam: The head of a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Pune, Maharashtra, today publicly acknowledged that it was Editor of J&K’s largest circulated newspaper, Greater Kashmir, Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo, who called him and mentioned about Adil.
Head of SARHAD, Sanjay Nehar told Kashmir Images: “After Pahalgam attack, Greater Kashmir Editor called me saying everybody will talk about killed tourists, and genuinely so. But no one will talk about Adil, please take care.”
“Marne Waley religion dekh ke maar rahe theey lekin bachane wala binna religion ke bacha raha tha (the killers were killing on the basis of religion but the one who wanted to protect was doing it above religion,” Nehar told Kashmir Images.
“Bachane wala marne wale say bada hota hai (one who saves is bigger than one who kills),” Nehar said.
Pertinent to mention that SARHAD collaborated with the Maharashtra government to help Adil’s family.
SARHAD has been doing wonderful humanitarian work in the remote districts of Kupwara and Bandipora for several years.
