Police seize 3 dumpers, 2 JCBs in crackdown on illegal mining in Pulwama

Pulwama: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, police in Pulwama on Saturday seized three dumpers and two JCB machines during a raid in the jurisdiction of Police Station Litter.

According to police, a team from Police Station Litter conducted a raid at Rambi Aada after receiving information about unlawful mineral extraction in the area.

During the operation, police found illegal mining activities underway and seized three dumpers and two JCB machines allegedly being used for the extraction and transportation of minerals.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 45/2026 at Police Station Litter under relevant sections of law, and further investigation has been taken up.

Police said the action was part of its ongoing drive against illegal mining and reiterated its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against such activities. They also appealed to the public to share information about illegal mining to help curb the practice.
