ANANTNAG, Apr 17: Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, an eminent physician from Poshkreri, has been conferred the Fellowship of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH).
The fellowship is awarded to professionals who have made significant contributions to public health and demonstrated high standards of academic and professional excellence.
Officials said the recognition reflects Dr Itoo’s continued commitment to advancing healthcare and promoting public health awareness.
The Royal Society for Public Health, one of the United Kingdom’s leading public health organisations, grants fellowship status to individuals who have shown distinguished achievement and dedication in the field.
The honour places Dr Itoo among an international network of public health professionals working to improve health outcomes.
Dr Itoo has remained actively involved in clinical practice and academic work, contributing to healthcare delivery and preventive health strategies. His work has focused on improving patient care and strengthening public health systems.
He is also a Fellow of the International Diabetes Federation, a member of the Academy of Medical Educators and an International Practitioner of the Faculty of Public Health under the Royal College of Physicians.
In addition, he is a member of the Royal Society of Biology, the American College of Physicians and an academic life member of the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India.
The achievement has been widely welcomed in Anantnag and across Jammu and Kashmir, with many describing it as a matter of pride for the region and a reflection of the growing international recognition of medical professionals from Jammu and Kashmir.
