Srinagar,: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir on Monday placed Ghulam Hassan Mir, Senior Lecturer of Urdu at Government Higher Secondary School Sopore, under suspension with immediate effect pending an inquiry into his conduct.
According to an official order, issued under reference number CEO/Bla/IMW/F-948/8995-98, the suspension will remain in force until the completion of the inquiry. A copy of the order has been made available to the media.
Following the suspension, Mir has been attached to Boys Higher Secondary School Badugam in the remote Gurez Valley of Bandipora for the duration of the suspension.
Mir was serving as Senior Lecturer of Urdu at Government Higher Secondary School Sopore in Sopore, located in Baramulla district.
The Joint Director, North, has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer and has been directed to conduct a detailed probe into the matter. The officer has been asked to submit a report to the Directorate within 15 days.
Officials, however, have not disclosed the nature of the allegations or the reasons that led to the suspension.
