Srinagar: Weather across Jammu and Kashmir is expected to remain largely dry until April 15, with a brief spell of rain and thunderstorms likely on April 16 and 17, according to the latest forecast.

The outlook indicates stable weather conditions for the next few days, providing a window for routine activities, particularly in the agriculture sector.

The forecast suggests that most areas across the Union Territory will experience mainly dry weather from April 13 to April 15. This period is expected to support ongoing farming operations, with no major disruptions anticipated.

A change in weather is expected from April 16, when a spell of rain and thunderstorms may affect many places, particularly during afternoon and evening hours. The activity is likely to continue into April 17 before conditions stabilize again.

Following this brief wet spell, weather is expected to turn generally dry again from April 18 through April 22, restoring stable conditions across the region.

The forecast carries significance for the agricultural community, as the ongoing dry spell allows farmers to proceed with fieldwork, including sowing and orchard management. Authorities have advised farmers to continue their operations while remaining cautious during the brief period of expected rainfall.

No major weather-related disruptions have been indicated during the forecast period, though localized variations cannot be ruled out during thunderstorm activity. [KNT]
