Parliamentary panel, delegations call on LG Sinha in Jammu

Jammu: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy, led by its Chairman Shrirang Appa Barne, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in Jammu on Friday during the Committee’s study visit to the region.

Among those present during the interaction were Shyamkumar Daulat Barve, Javed Ali Khan and officers of the Lok Sabha Secretariat.

Later, a delegation led by BJP spokesperson Gaurav Gupta also met the Lieutenant Governor and thanked him for what they described as the remarkable transformation of the Tawi riverfront.

A separate delegation of the Purmandal Utterbehni Teerth Seva Nyas also called on the Lieutenant Governor during the day.

Meanwhile, Rahul Sahai, Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce Jammu Chapter, met the Lieutenant Governor and discussed issues concerning trade and industry.

In another meeting, a public delegation from Samba led by former minister Yash Paul Kundal met the Lieutenant Governor and raised various public issues concerning the district.

Separately, social activist Rajinder Premi, son of noted freedom fighter, social reformer and litterateur Sarwanand Kaul Premi, also called on the Lieutenant Governor and highlighted several welfare-related issues concerning the Kashmiri Pandit community.

In another meeting, public delegation from Samba led by Yash Paul Kundal, former Minister called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

Meanwhile, Tarun Uppal, Chairman, Nirbhay Bharat Foundation called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha,.
