BJP felicitates senior citizens, holds cleanliness drive in Jammu

Jammu: Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), Jammu & Kashmir BJP, addressed a programme organized at Mandal Shastri Nagar, Panchayat Dharap, Jammu South, where senior citizens and beneficiaries were felicitated for their contributions and association with welfare initiatives.

The program was organized as part of the ongoing series of events marking the Foundation Day celebrations of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Under another programme ‘Gaon/Basti Chalo Abhiyan’, a cleanliness drive was also conducted at the God Shiv Temple in the same area, promoting the message of Swachhta (cleanliness) and community participation.

Parduman Singh, Prabhari Jammu South District, Naresh Singh, President BJP Jammu South District, besides other senior leaders of the party, and prominent locals participated in the events.

Ashok Koul, speaking on the occasion, reiterated the party’s unwavering commitment to public service and social responsibility. He emphasized that the BJP has always upheld the values of service, respect, and dedication, which form the core of its organizational idea. He said that BJP activists remain dedicated to reaching every section of society, especially the elderly and beneficiaries of government schemes, ensuring that no one is left behind. Honoring senior citizens is not just a gesture, but a reflection of our cultural values and gratitude towards their lifelong contributions, he said.

Koul further added that such programs like honouring seniors and holding cleanliness drives, strengthen the bond between the party and the people, while also encouraging grassroots participation in nation-building efforts. He also highlighted the importance of continuous public outreach under various campaigns of the party.

Parduman Singh said that such initiatives help in strengthening societal harmony and fostering a spirit of inclusiveness. He remarked that the BJP remains committed to serving every household and ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the grassroots level effectively.

Naresh Singh appreciated the active participation of party workers and local residents. He stated that the cleanliness drive at the temple symbolizes the party’s dedication not only towards social service but also towards preserving cultural and religious spaces.
