Power supply to remain affected in several areas of Kashmir from April 11 to 18

Srinagar: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced power shutdowns in several parts of Kashmir between April 11 and April 18 due to maintenance works on various transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, shutdown of the 33 KV Arampora-Bandipora line will affect power supply to Dooru, Dangerpora, Shiva, Mundji, Watlab, Kunusa, Botingoo, Hathlangoo, Tujjar, Harwan and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm on April 11.

Shutdown of the 33 KV Kanipora-Pinjora line will affect Arhama, Town, Bongam, Shopian, Pinjoora, Pahnoo, Killora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Kachdoora and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3:30 pm on April 12, 15 and 18.

Similarly, power supply to Ompora, Housing Colony, NIFT, SIDCO, Mohanpora, Sheikhpora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10 am to 3 pm on April 12 due to shutdown of the 33 KV Budgam SIDCO Tapline.

The shutdown of the 132/33 KV, 100 MVA GIS Khanyar will affect power supply to Industrial Estate-BAMK, Raja Colony, Nowshera, Zadibal, Hawal, Botakadal, BSNL, Gil Kadal, Aali Kadal, Rainawari, the Psychiatric Hospital, PHE installations, Central Jail, Saida Kadal and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm on April 12 and 13.

Meanwhile, the Executive Engineer, Load Dispatch Centre Division Bemina, said that power supply to Achabal, Shangus, Nowgam, Cherpora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on April 11 due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Achabal-Cherpora tapline.
