With this achievement, Diksha has earned the opportunity to represent India at the upcoming World Skills Competition to be held in Shanghai.

Officials said the Medallion of Excellence received by the participants further reflected the discipline, competitive spirit and dedication shown by candidates from Jammu and Kashmir.

Leena Pada, Mission Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Skill Development Mission, congratulated the students and termed the success a significant milestone for the Union Territory’s growing skill development ecosystem.

She dedicated the achievement to the officials and staff involved in implementing the programme and said their efforts had played a crucial role in preparing the participants for national-level competitions.

Secretary Skill Development, Rajeev Ranjan Kumar, also congratulated the students for their hard work and dedication.

Officials said that under the guidance of the Deputy Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir has steadily strengthened its skill development initiatives, resulting in strong performances at national-level competitions.

Earlier as well, candidates from Jammu and Kashmir had put up an impressive show in the India Skills North Regional Competition 2025.

At the National India Skills Competition 2025–26, Jammu and Kashmir fielded 57 candidates and secured a total of 27 medals, including two gold, three silver, nine bronze and 13 Medallions of Excellence across different disciplines such as Fashion Technology, Bricklaying and Software Testing.
