Bandipora: The Municipal Council Bandipora has developed a “Waste to Wonder” installation at Nishat Park under the Swachhata Excellence Campaign 2026.
The park has been created using recycled and repurposed materials, transforming discarded waste into decorative and functional installations. The initiative includes sculptures and other structures designed from reused material to promote the concept of a circular economy.
Officials said the project highlights the importance of scientific waste management and demonstrates how recycled material can be used to improve the appearance of public spaces.
The initiative has been undertaken as part of Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 and aims to create awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable living.
The installation at Nishat Park also seeks to promote the “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” philosophy and encourage residents to adopt responsible waste segregation practices.
Officials appealed to the people of Bandipora to participate actively in such initiatives and contribute towards making the district cleaner and environmentally sustainable.
