Budgam: The District Administration Budgam on Friday organised a farewell function for outgoing Senior Superintendent of Police Nikhil Borkar following his transfer from the district.
The function was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Athar Aamir Khan and attended by senior civil and police officers, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, SDPOs, Tehsildars and Station House Officers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the services rendered by the outgoing SSP during his tenure in Budgam and described him as a professional and dedicated officer.
Athar Aamir Khan said Borkar’s tenure was marked by effective coordination with the civil administration, proactive policing and public outreach initiatives that helped strengthen public confidence.
Several officers present at the function also shared their experiences of working with Borkar and praised his discipline, commitment and people-friendly approach.
In his address, Borkar thanked the District Administration, police personnel and the people of Budgam for their support and cooperation during his tenure.
He said his posting in Budgam would remain a memorable experience and acknowledged the collective efforts of the civil and police administration in maintaining peace and public safety.
The farewell function concluded with officers extending best wishes to Borkar for his future assignments.
