Syed Ashiq Hussain Shah accorded warm farewell at Directorate of Tourism, Jammu

Jammu: The Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, organised a farewell ceremony in honour of Syed Ashiq Hussain Shah on the occasion of his retirement, recognising his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the department.

The function was attended by Director Tourism Jammu Dr. Vikas Gupta, senior officers, colleagues and family members, including his son-in-law Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, a noted medico and columnist.

The gathering reflected deep respect and admiration for Shah’s distinguished career and his years of service in the department.

During the ceremony, speakers highlighted his professionalism, leadership and unwavering commitment to public service. He was felicitated with traditional shawls and mementoes as a mark of appreciation.

Addressing the gathering, Director Tourism Jammu Dr. Vikas Gupta lauded Syed Ashiq Hussain Shah for his exemplary dedication, integrity and invaluable contributions to the department.

“Shri Shah’s professionalism, sincerity and commitment to duty have left a lasting legacy within the Directorate. His experience and guidance have been instrumental in strengthening the functioning of the department, and his absence will be deeply felt by colleagues,” Gupta said.

He expressed gratitude for Shah’s years of devoted service and wished him good health, happiness and a fulfilling life after retirement.

The occasion was marked by warm interactions and reflections on Shah’s illustrious service. The ceremony concluded on an emotional note, with colleagues and well-wishers extending their heartfelt wishes for his continued success and happiness in the years ahead.
