Another accused, Arun Singh, a resident of Shiv Nagar, was also arrested with 2.98 grams of heroin during patrolling in the Battalbalian industrial area, the spokesperson said.

In Kashmir, police intercepted a vehicle (HR55AD2930) at Chichilora Kunzer. During the check, one individual fled from the spot, while the driver, Waheed Sultan of Sheerpora Bangil, Pattan, was apprehended. During his search, 27 grams of cannabis were recovered.

On his disclosure, a search was conducted at the residence of the absconding accused Ziakat Ahmad Dar at Chichilora, Kunzer, which led to the recovery of approximately 1.6 Kg of cannabis powder, police said.

All five accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are underway, the police said.
