Nestled in the Budgam district, Yusmarg often referred to as the “Meadow of Jesus” continues to captivate the hearts of tourists from every corner of Jammu and Kashmir. Known for its untouched beauty, lush green meadows, and tranquil environment, this picturesque destination remains a perfect retreat for those seeking peace away from the bustle of daily life.

This Eid brought with it a special opportunity for us to embark on a short yet memorable trip to Yusmarg with our cousins and children. The journey, though brief, turned out to be deeply refreshing and fulfilling. Surrounded by nature’s splendor, every moment felt like a blessing.

The children immersed themselves in carefree play, running across the vast meadows and creating their own little world of joy and laughter. Meanwhile, the elders and cousins found comfort in meaningful conversations, engaging in thoughtful and intellectual discussions that added depth to the experience.

Yusmarg is not just a picnic spot, it carries a spiritual essence that touches the soul. The dense forests, whispering cold breezes, and serene surroundings create a divine atmosphere that brings one closer to Allah. It is a place where nature silently reminds us of the Creator’s عظمت (greatness) and beauty.

One of the highlights of the trip was the pristine Doodganga stream. Its crystal-clear waters were so pure that the sand at the bottom was clearly visible, reflecting nature in its most unspoiled form. The gentle sound of flowing water added to the calming ambiance of the place.

Though the journey was short, its impact was profound. It revitalized our spirits, healed our hearts, and left us with cherished memories. Yusmarg once again proved to be not just a destination, but an experience, one that refreshes both the body and soul.
