Dy CM, ministers extend Ram Navami greetings, emphasise harmony and values

Jammu: Deputy Chief Minister and other members of the Jammu and Kashmir Council of Ministers on Tuesday extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, highlighting the festival’s spiritual and cultural significance.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the festival is celebrated with great devotion across Jammu and Kashmir and expressed hope that the occasion would bring peace, prosperity, and well-being to all. He noted that Ram Navami serves as a reminder of the timeless values of righteousness, compassion, truth, and brotherhood.

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, IT and Science & Technology described the festival as a celebration of the birth of Lord Ram, symbolising virtue and ideal leadership. He said the teachings of Lord Ram continue to inspire people to uphold truth, justice, humility, and ethical conduct in all walks of life.

Referring to the concept of “Ram Rajya,” the Minister said it represents good governance, equality, and welfare for all, values that remain relevant in present times. He also highlighted Jammu and Kashmir’s rich cultural diversity and composite heritage, stating that such occasions strengthen communal harmony and social cohesion. He urged people to celebrate the festival with simplicity, maintain cleanliness, and support the underprivileged.

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education also conveyed greetings, stating that Ram Navami symbolises the principles of righteousness, devotion, and compassion. She said such occasions reinforce unity, mutual respect, and the cultural fabric of Jammu and Kashmir, and prayed for peace, progress, and prosperity across the region.

The ministers collectively called upon people to celebrate the festival in a spirit of harmony, unity, and shared values.
