JAMMU: A delegation of the Contractors’ Association connected with the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) today met Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology, Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, to discuss various issues including release of payments .

The Minister gave a patient hearing to the issues and assured the delegation that all genuine concerns would be addressed on priority.

He informed them that the matter has already been taken up with the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, for prompt resolution.

Reiterating the government’s commitment towards effective implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission, the Minister emphasized that timely completion of drinking water supply schemes and ensuring smooth financial flows remain key priorities.

He assured that necessary steps would be taken to streamline the payment process and address bottlenecks.
