Tangmarg: Residents of Warapora in Tangmarg have expressed concern over the persistent dumping of cow dung and other waste materials on public roads, saying the practice has created unhygienic conditions and caused major inconvenience to pedestrians and commuters.

According to locals, roads that were once clean and easily accessible have turned into filthy stretches, affecting everyday movement and making travel difficult for residents. They said the accumulation of waste has also resulted in foul smells and unhealthy surroundings, posing health risks, particularly to children and the elderly.

Residents alleged that the waste being dumped on roads not only mars the cleanliness of the area but also creates problems for motorists, especially during peak hours, when vehicles find it difficult to pass through the affected spots. They said the situation increases the risk of accidents and further spreads the filth.

Locals said the problem has continued for a long time despite repeated concerns being raised before the concerned quarters. They blamed the absence of proper waste disposal practices and the lack of monitoring for the worsening condition in the area.

The residents have urged the higher authorities to intervene at the earliest and take necessary measures to ensure cleanliness and proper waste management in Warapora.
