Bandipora admin finalises arrangements for ‘Vande Mataram’ special phase celebrations

Bandipora: District Administration Bandipora on Friday finalised arrangements for the “Vande Mataram” Special Phase celebrations, scheduled to be held from March 23 to March 31 to commemorate 150 years of national pride.

The preparations were reviewed at a virtual meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl, who discussed measures for the smooth conduct of the programme across the district.

During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on organising activities to ensure wide participation from educational institutions and the general public in marking the occasion.

The ADC stressed the need for coordinated efforts among various departments to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and honour the sacrifices of the nation’s bravehearts.

Officials informed the meeting that a series of activities, including mass singing of “Vande Mataram”, awareness programmes and cultural events, would be organised in schools, colleges and public institutions during the celebration period.

The meeting also underlined the importance of creating awareness about the historical significance of “Vande Mataram” and encouraging public participation in the events.

Among those who attended the meeting virtually were the Programme Officer ICDS Bandipora, Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Sumbal and Gurez, principals of degree colleges across Bandipora, Ajas, Sumbal, Hajin, Gurez and Tulail, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), District Information Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer and other concerned officers.
