MLA Gulmarg inaugurates 7 kindergarten schools, reviews healthcare facilities in Tangmarg

Kunzer: MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah, on Tuesday inaugurated seven newly established kindergarten schools in the Tangmarg zone, reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector at the grassroots level.

Addressing a gathering at Middle School Druroo, Shah said that quality primary education is essential for the overall development of children. He noted that sustained efforts are being made to enhance educational standards and ensure that students across the constituency have access to improved learning facilities and a conducive academic environment.

Highlighting future plans, the MLA announced that a new school building will soon be constructed at Middle School Druroo to further augment educational infrastructure. He added that all primary schools across both zones of the constituency will be upgraded in a phased manner, with a focus on modern facilities and quality education.

Later, Shah visited Tangmarg Hospital to review healthcare services. He inspected the ongoing construction of two new operation theatres and assessed the progress of the works.

The MLA also reviewed the functioning of a Servo Stabilizer system installed under his Constituency Development Fund (CDF), which is supporting the hospital’s X-ray and laboratory units by ensuring uninterrupted and efficient services.

Shah reiterated his commitment to strengthening both the education and healthcare sectors, stating that these remain key priorities for the overall development and well-being of the people of the Gulmarg constituency.
