KPDCL announces scheduled power shutdowns

Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL has announced scheduled shutdowns of several 33 KV power lines to facilitate maintenance works, resulting in temporary disruption of electricity supply in multiple areas across Kashmir.

According to the department, power supply to Tangmarg, Gulmarg, Mulgam, Khyber, Base Station, Cable Car, Kulhama, Chandil, Kralweth, Wantoo, Reram and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM on March 14 and 18, 2026 due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Nehalpora–Gulmarg line.

Similarly, electricity supply to Shangus, Nowgam, Cherpora and adjoining areas will remain disrupted from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 12, 2026 owing to the shutdown of the 33 KV Achabal–Cherpora tap line.

Power supply to Batagund, Lurgam, Nanar, Taki, Laam, Jawaharpora, Aripal, Khangund, Sathoora and adjoining areas will also remain affected from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 12, 2026 due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Tral-II line.

Meanwhile, electricity supply to Tral-i-Payeen, Devar, Pinglish, Chewa, Kahlil, Tral Bala, Bajwani and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 14, 2026 because of the shutdown of the 33 KV tap line of the Tral-I line from Nowdal Tap.
