Kathua Heros, Udhampur Fighters, Rajouri Leopards register emphatic wins in YSS-JKSC Cricket League

Jammu: Kathua Heros, Udhampur Fighters and Rajouri Leopards registered dominant victories in their respective matches in the ongoing YSS-JKSC Cricket League played at MA Stadium, Jammu, on Monday.

In the first match of the day, Kathua Heros defeated Rajouri Indians by nine wickets in a one-sided contest.

After winning the toss, Rajouri Indians opted to bat first but struggled to build momentum and posted a modest 106/8 in 20 overs. Captain Suhail Dar top-scored with 36 runs off 29 balls, hitting seven boundaries, while Kashif Dar remained unbeaten on 28 off 26 balls to help the side cross the 100-run mark.

For Kathua Heros, Ram Dayal and Rohit Sharma were the pick of the bowlers, claiming two wickets each with figures of 2/18.

In reply, Kathua Heros chased down the 107-run target in 11.1 overs, losing just one wicket. Puri Abhinav anchored the chase with an unbeaten 45 off 32 balls, while Ram Dayal smashed a quick 42 not out off 22 deliveries to seal the win comfortably.

In the second match, Udhampur Fighters outplayed Ramban Eagles by 10 wickets.

Batting first, Ramban Eagles were bowled out for 103 runs in 18.1 overs. Shalien Rana top-scored with 42 off 34 balls, while Mohd Amaan Dar contributed 21 runs.

Udhampur Fighters’ bowlers shared the spoils with Gourav Khajuria leading the attack, claiming 3/19, while Munish and Sunil Kumar picked up two wickets each.

Chasing 104 runs, Udhampur Fighters completed the target without losing a wicket in 11.2 overs. Khajuria capped a fine all-round performance with an unbeaten 54 off 41 balls, while Neekhil Singh remained not out on 37 off 28 balls as the pair guided their team to a comfortable victory.

In the third match, Rajouri Leopards defeated Poonch Badshahs by nine wickets.

Poonch Badshahs, who opted to bat first after winning the toss, were bundled out for just 50 runs in 13.1 overs. Sheikh Mehboob was the top scorer with 16 runs, while Sohail Irfan added 11.

For Rajouri Leopards, Aasif Manzoor impressed with figures of 2/8 in four overs, while Arjun Singh also claimed two wickets.

In response, Rajouri Leopards chased down the 51-run target in just 4.1 overs, losing one wicket. Adil Wani led the charge with a blistering 30 not out off 10 balls, while Bilal Ahmed remained unbeaten on 14 off 10 deliveries.

With these victories, the three teams strengthened their position in the ongoing league with commanding performances.
