Power shutdown in several areas of Kashmir on March 8–12: KPDCL

Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Valley to carry out maintenance works on different 33 KV lines.

According to officials, the shutdown of the 33 KV Potushai–Nadihal Tap line will be observed on March 9, due to which power supply to Ajas, SK Bala, Bazipora, Nadihal, Guroora, Argam and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 KV Bemina–Fatehkadal line and 33 KV Bemina–Barbarshah line will affect power supply to KK Mohalla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, BB Shah, Babademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Naisarak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basantbagh, Car Parking, Maisuma Bazar and adjoining areas from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM on March 10 and March 12.

In another shutdown, the 33 KV Soibugh–Wadwan line will remain under maintenance on March 8, affecting power supply to Soibugh, Dharmuna, Wadwan, Rasoo, Gotpora, Chatbugh, Pymus, Gariend, Nadigam, Banggam, Wahpora and nearby areas from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, officials said.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to bear with the inconvenience during the scheduled maintenance works.
