KPDCL announces power shutdown in Baramulla, Pahalgam, Pulwama areas

Srinagar: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Baramulla, Anantnag and Pulwama districts due to maintenance works on various transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, shutdown of the 33 KV Baramulla–1st Kanlibagh Tapline will affect power supply to GMC, Kanlibagh, Microwave, Sangri and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on March 7, 2026.

Similarly, power supply to Pahalgam, Batkoot, Aishmuqam, Saller and adjoining areas will remain affected due to shutdown of the 33 KV Mattan–Pahalgam line from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 9 and March 11, 2026.

Meanwhile, shutdown of the 33 KV Pampore–Pulwama line will disrupt electricity supply to Kakapora, Newa, Pahoo, Nehama, Zadoora, Gudoora, Parigam and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 12 noon on March 10 and March 12, 2026, the officials said.
