“My warm greetings to all. May this auspicious occasion fill our lives with colours of joy, strength and good health,” he said.

He observed that Jammu and Kashmir has always stood as an example of harmony, mutual respect and brotherhood, where people wholeheartedly participate in each other’s festivals and celebrations, reinforcing the spirit of unity in diversity. He expressed hope that the festival would further strengthen communal harmony, promote peace and deepen bonds of love and understanding among all sections of society.

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, IT, Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma, also conveyed his greetings, describing Holi as a vibrant festival symbolising the victory of truth over falsehood and good over evil. He noted that the festival reinforces the spirit of unity, love, compassion and brotherhood among communities and strengthens bonds of togetherness.

Stating that Jammu and Kashmir has long been a shining example of communal harmony and composite culture, Satish Sharma said Holi provides an opportunity to renew relationships, forgive past differences and move forward with positivity and cooperation.

“May the colours of Holi fill our lives with hope, optimism and renewed energy. Let this festival inspire us to rise above divisions and work collectively for peace, prosperity and overall development of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

The Minister also urged citizens, especially the youth, to celebrate the festival in a responsible and eco-friendly manner, promoting water conservation and avoiding practices that may cause inconvenience or harm to others. He prayed for the well-being, happiness and success of the people and wished everyone a safe and joyous Holi.

Meanwhile, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, in her greetings, said that Holi symbolises unity, harmony and the triumph of goodness, encouraging people to celebrate with mutual respect, compassion and a spirit of togetherness.

“These cultural festivals strengthen our social fabric by promoting inclusiveness and brotherhood across communities,” she said.

She prayed that the festival brings joy, prosperity and renewed positivity to every household and strengthens bonds of unity across regions, while also praying for peace, progress and prosperity of the entire Jammu and Kashmir.
