At the Dairy Farm area of Pulwama, police seized one dumper, four tippers and an LNT machine on the spot. In another operation at Lasipora, teams intercepted six dumpers, one tipper and four JCB machines that were allegedly engaged in illegal mining and transportation activities.

Police said cases have been registered at the concerned police stations. At Police Station Pulwama, FIR No. 26/2026 has been lodged under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 3 of the Prevention of Public Damage Act. Similarly, Police Station Litter registered FIR No. 23/2026 under the same legal provisions. Investigations in both cases have been taken up.

Officials reiterated a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal mining, stating that such activities pose a serious threat to the environment and public infrastructure.
