Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday said he was on his way to Hubli to cheer for the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team as it prepares to play the final of the Ranji Trophy.
Sharing a photograph from a flight, the Chief Minister expressed pride in the team’s performance, stating that by reaching the final they have already made lakhs of people proud across Jammu and Kashmir.
He said he was looking forward to spending the day in the stands supporting the team in what is being described as a historic moment for J&K cricket.
The Jammu and Kashmir side’s entry into the Ranji Trophy final has generated widespread enthusiasm across the Union Territory, with supporters hailing the achievement as a landmark in the region’s sporting history. (KNT)
