MD Mission Yuva, DC review progress of Mission YUVA in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL: Mission Director, Mission Yuva, Harvinder Singh and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today took a joint review of the status of implementation of Mission Yuva in District Ganderbal.

At the outset, the meeting was informed about the status of achievements and progress under Mission YUVA in the district.

Assistant Director Employment apprised the meeting about the status of Mission YUVA scheme, including the number of applications received, verified and approved by DLICs, besides the cases sanctioned and disbursed. She also informed the meeting about the total number of units that have been completed till date.

MD Mission Yuva emphasized the importance of the training for entrepreneurs and also sought the details of the training programs conducted in the past few months.

He emphasised on encouraging potential entrepreneurs to take up units involved in the ODOP product of the district.

MD also reviewed the progress under Udyam Jagriti, directing the Assistant Director for the 100 percent coverage of students in degree colleges and polytechnic.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that Mission YUVA has opened new avenues of self-employment for the youth of the district. He stressed upon all stakeholders to ensure timely processing of applications and proper guidance to beneficiaries so that units are established smoothly and sustain in the long run.

He also emphasized close coordination among departments and banks for effective implementation of the scheme.

Later, MD, Mission Yuva interacted with the SBDU and BHD members and asked them to work with zeal and dedication so that the goals of entrepreneurship and self-employment under the scheme are fully achieved.

ADDC Ganderbal, Assistant Director Employment, Chief Agricultural Officer, Ganderbal, NABARD officials, LDM and Cluster Head, J&K Bank were also present in the meeting.
