Srinagar: Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Naseer Ahmad Wani (JKAS) on Tuesday convened a high-level meeting of all Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the Kashmir division to review arrangements following the reopening of schools for classes 9 to 12 after the winter break.
During the meeting, the director assessed ground-level facilities and sought detailed reports on inspections conducted on the first day of reopening. He emphasised close monitoring and coordination to ensure schools provide a safe and academically conducive environment for students.
Wani also issued directions for preparations ahead of the reopening of classes 1 to 8 on Monday. He instructed CEOs, Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and cluster heads to undertake intensive field visits, personally welcome students and supervise arrangements on the ground.
He stressed that every institution must be covered through field inspections and officers should directly interact with students to understand and address their concerns. Any issues reported at the institutional level, he said, must be resolved promptly to ensure a smooth start to the 2026 academic session.
“Our collective endeavour must be to ensure that every child returns to a well-prepared, secure and academically vibrant school environment. Field-level monitoring and timely redressal of issues shall remain our top priority,” Wani said.
The director also directed CEOs to conduct district-level reviews regarding various issues discussed during the meeting.
