From February 14 to 16 evening, the weather is likely to remain largely dry across both Kashmir and Jammu divisions. However, there is a possibility of light snowfall at isolated higher reaches towards the night of February 16.

On February 17, generally cloudy skies are predicted again, with a chance of light rain or snow in scattered places. Thereafter, from February 18 to 21, the weather is expected to stay dry with no major precipitation forecast anywhere in the Union Territory.

Overall, no major rain or snowfall activity is anticipated across Jammu and Kashmir till February 21, providing stable conditions for travel and routine activities.

Authorities have advised travelers and transporters to check the status of roads and highways with the concerned traffic departments before undertaking journeys, especially along high-altitude routes. People living in snow-bound higher reaches have been urged to avoid venturing into slippery stretches and avalanche-prone areas and to strictly follow administrative advisories. (KNT)
