KPDCL announces power shutdown in parts of Srinagar, Pulwama, Kupwara, Anantnag

Srinagar, Feb 14: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Valley to facilitate maintenance and infrastructure works, officials said.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdown of the 33 KV Pampore–B.K. Pora line will be observed on February 16, 2026, due to which power supply to B.K. Pora, Khanda, Checkpora, Chatergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Wagoora, Aribagh, Checkpora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 KV Arampora–MES line will be carried out on February 17, 2026, affecting power supply to MES Kupwara from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

KPDCL further said the 220 KV Wagoora–Pampore Circuit-I Bay at Grid Sub-Station Pampore will remain shut on February 17, 2026, resulting in power disruption to Rawalpora, Sanat Nagar, Chanapora, Hyderpora, Humhama, Baghat, Barzullah, Rambagh, Natipora, B&J Bagh-i-Mehtab, Rangreth, JAKLI, BEACON, Wanbal, Batagund, Aripal, Lurgam, Noorgam, Lalgam, Tral, Tral-i-Bala, Cheewa, Panzgam, LIS-I, II, III, K. Koot, Marhama, Khiram, Khellan, Konibal, Kadlabal, Pampore, WSS Tangnar, Lasjan, Shar Shali, Industrial Estates Wuyan and Khrew, Cement Plants, Pahru, B.K. Pora, Government Press, Flour Mill, Athwajan, Panthachowk, Sonwar, Nowgam Railway Station, Summerbugh, Khanda, Ladhoo, Brane, Nishat, Centaur, Dalband, B.B. Cantonment, Buchwara, TRC, Nedous, Food Park, SAIFCO, Khyber Water Pump, Khyber, Industrial Estate-III Khunmoh, TCI Max, Old TCI, Covid Hospital, Zavoora, Khunmoh Old and adjoining areas from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Meanwhile, shutdown of the 33 KV Harnag–Khanabal Tapline (via Dak Bungalow) will be observed on February 16, 2026, affecting Dak Bungalow, Seepan, Batapora and adjoining areas from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

KPDCL has advised consumers to take necessary precautions and plan their activities accordingly during the shutdown period.
