Power shutdown in several areas on Feb 12 & 13

Srinagar : The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Wednesday announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar, Budgam and Pulwama districts to facilitate maintenance works on transmission lines and grid infrastructure.

According to the department, a shutdown of the 33 KV Pampore–B.K. Pora line will be carried out on February 12, 2026, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. As a result, electricity supply to B.K. Pora, Khanda, Checkpora, Chattergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Wagoora, Aribagh and adjoining areas will remain affected during the period.

In addition, maintenance of the 132 kV ICT Circuit-II (200 MVA) at 132/33 KV Grid Station Pampore will be undertaken on February 13, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The shutdown will impact power supply to Rawalpora, Sanatnagar, Chanapora, Hyderpora, Humhama, Baghat, Barzulla, Rambagh, Natipora, Bagh-i-Mehtab, Rangreth, Wanbal, Batagund, Aripal, Noorgam, Lalgam, Tral, Tral Bala, Cheewa, Panzgam, Khiram, Khellan, Konibal, Kadlabal, Shar Shali, Wuyan Industrial Estate, Khrew Industrial Estate, Cement Plants, Pahru, B.K. Pora, Nowgam Railway Station, Summerbugh, Khanda, Ladhoo and other adjoining areas.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and cooperate during the maintenance period.
