The IGP emphasised effective intelligence sharing, close inter-agency coordination and public cooperation to maintain peace and order. District police chiefs were directed to intensify market checking drives in coordination with the civil administration to curb hoarding, black marketing and overpricing of essential commodities, and to strengthen community outreach for the smooth conduct of religious and public gatherings.

In view of the expected rise in tourist arrivals, enhanced security arrangements were ordered at major tourist destinations. Security of railway stations and tracks was also reviewed, with directions for increased patrolling, surveillance and preventive measures, including awareness initiatives to avert mishaps. Security along the national highway was likewise assessed, and officials were asked to further strengthen arrangements.

Birdi instructed all officers to remain vigilant, reinforce intelligence and response mechanisms and ensure close coordination for the peaceful conduct of upcoming events across the Kashmir Valley.
