Budgam: Police in Budgam on Saturday attached an immovable property worth approximately ₹50 lakh in the Humhama area of the district in connection with a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The attached property, a double-storey residential house, belongs to an alleged drug peddler, Irfan Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ashraf Dar, a resident of Humhama.
Police said the attachment was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 44/2020 registered under Sections 8 and 21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Budgam.
The action, officials said, forms part of the ongoing crackdown against drug trafficking and proceeds generated through narcotics-related activities.
