Srinagar, Feb 6: A 25-year-old man was killed in a road accident at the Hyderpora Bypass area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Numaan Ahmed Zarger, son of Lateef Ahmed Zarger, a local of Kralpora Kantbagh near a petrol pump in Srinagar. Officials said the accident occurred on the busy bypass stretch, following which the injured youth sustained severe head trauma.
He was immediately shifted to JVC Bemina for medical treatment. However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead on arrival, officials added.
Police said proceedings have been initiated in connection with the incident to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. (KNT)
