LG Sinha felicitates DCs Rajouri and Reasi for exemplary election management

JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Saturday, felicitated the Deputy Commissioners and District Election Officers (DEOs) of Rajouri and Reasi with Appreciation Awards for their outstanding performance in the conduct of elections.

At a function held at the Convention Centre, Jammu, the Lieutenant Governor honoured DC Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, for exemplary election management, meticulous planning and effective implementation of the electoral process in the district. Abhishek Sharma was adjudged the Best District Election Officer, having ensured free, fair and peaceful elections with high standards of transparency and efficiency.

In the same event, DC and DEO Reasi, Nidhi Malik, was also felicitated with an Appreciation Award in recognition of her outstanding role in election management. The award acknowledged her voter-friendly initiatives and the transparent, smooth and efficient conduct of the electoral process in Reasi district, particularly in the face of logistical and geographical challenges.

Commending the district administrations of both Rajouri and Reasi, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the coordinated efforts of line departments, election machinery, security agencies and polling personnel for strengthening voter participation and upholding the sanctity of the electoral process.

On the occasion, both officers dedicated the awards to the collective efforts of their respective teams and acknowledged the cooperation extended by political parties, candidates, media and voters, terming it crucial for the successful conduct of free and fair elections.
