The training programme forms part of CDSL’s ongoing CSR efforts to promote financial literacy and cyber awareness, particularly among key stakeholders such as law enforcement agencies. The initiative was spearheaded by Mohd Arif Rishu, DIG, Jammu & Kashmir Police, Lethapora, and marked another step in strengthening institutional preparedness against emerging financial and cyber risks.

The program commenced with an inaugural address by Vice Principal SP Sajjad Hussain of Jammu & Kashmir Police, Lethapora, who underscored the importance of financial awareness and cyber vigilance for security personnel in today’s increasingly digital environment. He highlighted how such capacity-building initiatives enhance both personal preparedness and community-level resilience.

Subject-matter experts from Rashtriya Raksha University delivered interactive and practice-oriented sessions covering personal financial planning, identification of common financial and cyber frauds, and practical measures for prevention and mitigation. The sessions were designed to equip participants with actionable knowledge that can be applied in real-life situations.

Ms. Anshu Singh, Assistant Professor, RRU, provided an overview of the university’s vision and mandate, emphasising its role in advancing safety, security education, and citizen awareness across the country. She highlighted how collaborations under CSR frameworks enable academic expertise to translate into tangible public impact.

Approximately 150 participants, including inspectors and trainees, attended the programme. The training also familiarised participants with safe digital practices and available mechanisms for reporting suspicious financial and cyber activities, in alignment with broader national priorities on digital literacy and financial inclusion.
