Deputy CM, Ministers extend Shab-e-Meraj greetings

JAMMU: The Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, today extended his warm greetings to the people, especially the Muslim community, on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Meraj.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Shab-e-Meraj holds profound religious and spiritual significance, marking the sacred night of divine blessings.

He noted that the occasion inspires faith and humility with the Almighty and upholds the values of compassion, patience and service to humanity.

He expressed hope that this sacred occasion brings peace, prosperity, inner strength and harmony, and further strengthens the spirit of unity and mutual respect to every household in Jammu and Kashmir.

Highlighting the rich tradition of communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the people of J&K have always stood united, celebrating festivals and auspicious occasions across religious and community lines.

He emphasised that this shared culture of brotherhood and coexistence is the true strength of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Deputy Chief Minister prayed for the continued progress, peace and well-being of the people.

Meanwhile, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, has extended her warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Mehraj (Meraj-ul-Alam).

In her message, Minister Sakeena said that the night of Me’raj is a sacred occasion to seek divine blessings and forgiveness from Almighty Allah. She added that this holy night is of profound spiritual significance, symbolising faith, devotion and the boundless mercy of Almighty Allah.

The Minister said that this sacred occasion reminds humanity of the values of compassion, humility and righteousness, and encourages believers to strengthen their bond with the Almighty Allah through prayers and good deeds.

She expressed hope that this holy night of Shab-e-Mehraj will usher in renewed hope and spiritual enlightenment for all. She also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the entire Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, extended his greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-i-Meraj.

In his message, Minister Rana said Shab-i-Meraj is a profoundly sacred night symbolising faith, devotion and spiritual elevation.

He said that this blessed occasion invites self-reflection, prayer and forgiveness, while reinforcing compassion, humility and righteousness.

“On this Holy night, I pray the Almighty bestows His mercy and blessings on all and brings peace and prosperity to every household. This pious night provides an opportunity to the people to pray and seek forgiveness & blessings from Almighty Allah,” Rana said in his message.

He further said that this occasion reminds us to uphold mutual respect, harmony, and brotherhood and provides us with an opportunity toward truth, unity and collective well-being.
