Sagar reviews development projects in Khanyar

Srinagar: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar, Thursday, undertook a comprehensive tour of various areas within his constituency to assess ongoing developmental initiatives and engage directly with the locals.

During his visit, Sagar listened to the concerns and grievances of residents, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges they face. He also conducted a thorough review of several ongoing development projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public services.

In Nowhatta, he was informed that development works worth ₹5.24 crore have been approved and are currently underway, including the much-anticipated Community Resource and Shopping Complex, which is poised to become a vital hub for local commerce and community activities.

Detailed briefings were also provided on other key projects related to sewerage, drainage systems, road infrastructure, and community facilities, underscoring the constituency’s commitment to comprehensive development.

On the occasion, Sagar directed the concerned officers and departments to ensure that all projects are completed within the stipulated deadlines and strictly adhere to quality standards. He emphasised that timely and efficient execution is essential to deliver much-needed relief and improve the quality of life for residents.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress of the ₹65 lakh ongoing upgradation of the Community Hall at Rajouri Kadal, Sagar highlighted the significance of such community spaces in fostering social cohesion and providing venues for cultural and civic engagement.

Furthermore, he announced the release of an additional ₹20 lakh from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the project and assured acceleration of developmental activities to address pressing needs in the constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, Sagar reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to public welfare.

He affirmed that the present administration is actively taking decisive steps to address public concerns, enhance basic amenities, and ensure sustainable and inclusive development for all citizens. MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar accompanied him on the visit.
