Power shutdown announced by KPDCL

Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has informed that a scheduled shutdown of the 480 MVA, 220/132/33 KV Grid Sub-Station (GSS) Delina will be observed for essential maintenance works.

Due to the shutdown, power supply to several areas of north and central Kashmir will remain affected from January 17 to January 23, 2026, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

The areas likely to be affected include Panzipora, Tarzoo, Hygam, Shair Colony, Arampora, Mahrajpora, Bugoo, Police Station, ADC Watlab, Hathlangoo, Warpora, Dooru, Shiva, Tujjar Sharief, Shrian, Nowpora, Mazbugh, Reban, Achabal, Doabgah, Ferozpora, Panzulla, Shutloo, Chakloo, Ladoora, Nadihal, Seer, PHE, Fruit Mandi, LIS, Dangiwachi, Hachipora, Hadipora, Watrigam, Safalpora, Ganpora, Nowpora, Achabal, Seelu, Bomai, Seer, Chakloo, Rohama, Ludoora, Delina, Jetty, Railway, Chandoosa, Sultanpora, Sangrama, Kreeri, Wagoora, Kalantra, Hard-Ichloo, Sopore Town, TSS Baramulla, Salamadbad, Uri, Bandi, Rampora, Noorkhah, Mohara, Peernia, Nowshera, Boniyar, Sheeri, Drangbal, Bagi-Islam, Baramulla Town, DC Office Baramulla, GMC Baramulla, Kanlibagh, MES, Malpora, Gantamulla, Magam, Mazhama, Kongamdara, Ahmedpora, Aripanthan, Khag, Beerwah, Arizal, Dhobiwan, Kunzer and adjoining areas.

KPDCL has advised consumers to make necessary arrangements in advance and has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused due to the shutdown, stating that the maintenance work is being carried out to improve the reliability of the power supply.
