Ensure necessary arrangements for smooth observance of Shab-e-Miraj: DC Anantnag

ANANTNAG: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, SF Hamid, today directed the concerned officers to ensure all necessary arrangements for smooth observance of the forthcoming Shab-e-Miraj (S.A.W) and Friday following.

The DC issued these directions during a comprehensive meeting held at Dak Bangalow Khanabal.

The meeting was attended by ADC, SDMs, ACR, CMO, Exens PDD and Jal Shakti, AC Food Safety, Dy Director Fisheries, Dy Director F&E Services, representative of SSP, Tehsildar Anantnag, ARTO, DySP Traffic, CAHO, AD FC&CA, DSHO, CEO MCA and EOs of MCs, representative of Waqf Board and other officers.

During the proceedings, the DC called for providing all the requisite facilities to the devotees visiting Khiram Dargah Shareef, Kabamarg, Reshmool, Aishmuqam, Seer Hamdan and other shrines and mosques during these days. He directed the concerned departments to ensure adequate supply of water and essential commodities along with uninterrupted electricity during the holy days.

Instructions were also issued regarding seamless transport management, Medicare, sanitation facilities, besides proper security and deployment of fire and emergency tenders especially around the shrines and mosques.

Underscoring the need for close coordination and synergy among line departments, the DC further directed that special market checking drives be conducted by the designated teams in their jurisdiction during the holy days.

On the occasion, SDMs were instructed to closely monitor and facilitate the seamless observance of Shab-i-Miraj in their respective subdivisions.
