Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police spokesperson informed that two persons (whose identity was not disclosed) were arrested at a checkpoint at Central University Crossing after approximately 3 kilograms of contraband powdered ‘Bhang-like’ substance was recovered from their possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kheerbhawani, and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source and intended destination of the seized narcotic substance, police said.
