Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial President for Kashmir, Showkat Ahmad Mir, Monday held a series of meetings with various public delegations, community representatives and individual groups at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, in Srinagar.

During the interactions, delegations from different parts of the Valley apprised Mir of a wide range of local issues, developmental challenges, and pressing public grievances affecting their respective areas. The representatives highlighted concerns related to basic civic amenities, infrastructure development, employment opportunities, healthcare facilities, education, and road connectivity, among other issues. Several delegations also raised matters pertaining to administrative bottlenecks and urged timely intervention to ensure effective governance at the grassroots level.

He emphasized that the party has always stood for inclusive development, social justice, and the empowerment of local communities.

“The National Conference has a strong legacy of working for the welfare of the people. We believe in participatory politics where public voices are heard and acted upon. The concerns raised today will be taken up with the relevant authorities to ensure appropriate and timely redressal,” Mir said.
