Ministers extend greetings on Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji

SRINAGAR/JAMMU: Ministers in the Jammu and Kashmir Government today extended warm greetings to the people, particularly the Sikh community, on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Purab, the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, paid rich tributes to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, remembering him as a great spiritual leader, visionary reformer and the embodiment of courage and compassion. Describing Guru Gobind Singh Ji as the eternal “Saint Soldier,” he said his life and teachings continue to inspire humanity to uphold truth, justice, equality and selfless service. The Minister exhorted people, especially the younger generation, to follow his noble teachings and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, said that Prakash Purab is a sacred occasion that inspires humanity with the timeless values of truth, courage, equality and selfless service preached by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. She noted that his life and sacrifices continue to guide society towards righteousness, compassion and unity, and called upon people to imbibe these ideals in their daily lives and work collectively for the welfare of all sections of society.

Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, also extended greetings to the people, especially the Sikh community. He said that the life and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji have been a source of inspiration for millions across the world, adding that his vision of unity, peace and harmony continues to guide efforts for the betterment of society. He expressed hope that the auspicious occasion would usher in joy, prosperity and peace across Jammu and Kashmir.

All the Ministers expressed the hope that Prakash Purab would further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and communal harmony and inspire people to contribute towards building an inclusive, just and peaceful society.

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Information Technology, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Science & Technology, ARI and Trainings, Satish Sharma extended warm greetings to the people, especially the Sikh community of Jammu & Kashmir and across the country, on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

In his message, the Minister paid glowing tributes to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, remembering him as a great spiritual luminary, visionary reformer and an embodiment of courage, sacrifice and compassion. He described the Guru as the eternal “Saint-Soldier” whose life and teachings continue to inspire humanity to uphold truth, justice, equality and selfless service.

“On this sacred occasion, I convey my heartfelt greetings to all Sikh brothers and sisters. The life and legacy of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji guide us to stand firmly against injustice, protect the weak and work tirelessly for the welfare of society with courage and conviction,” the Minister said.

Satish Sharma exhorted the people, especially the youth, to draw inspiration from the noble teachings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and imbibe the values of discipline, unity, bravery and service to humanity. He emphasized that the Guru’s ideals of righteousness and equality are highly relevant in today’s times and provide a strong foundation for building a progressive and harmonious society.

The Minister also prayed for peace, prosperity and overall development of Jammu & Kashmir and the nation. He expressed hope that the sacred occasion of Prakash Purb would further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and communal harmony and motivate people to work together for an inclusive, just and prosperous society.
